CVS Health Posts Better-Than-Expected Earnings, Joins CommScope, Microsoft, Meta, Chart Industries, And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 400 points on Thursday.
Shares of CVS Health Corporation (NYSE:CVS) rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter results and raised FY25 EPS guidance.
CVS Health reported first-quarter sales of $94.59 billion on Thursday, beating the consensus of $93.64 billion. Total revenues increased 7% year over year, driven by revenue growth across all segments.
CVS Health posted adjusted EPS of $2.25 for Q1, a sharp rise from $1.31 a year earlier and well above Wall Street’s $1.70 estimate.
CVS Health shares jumped 6.5% to $71.11 on Thursday.

- Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:AEIS) rose 16.7% to $113.72 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter sales guidance above estimates. Additionally, Needham maintained a Buy rating on the stock and Baird maintained an Outperform rating.
- MYR Group Inc. (NASDAQ:MYRG) gained 16.2% to $142.09 following upbeat quarterly earnings.
- CONMED Corporation (NYSE:CNMD) rose 16.1% to $57.01 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance.
- CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) gained 15.3% to $47.60.
- Chart Industries, Inc. (NYSE:GTLS) rose 14.2% to $154.11 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter adjusted EPS results and issued FY25 adjusted EPS guidance above estimates. Also, the company issued FY25 sales guidance with its midpoint above estimates.
- TTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTMI) gained 13.4% to $22.70 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter guidance above estimates.
- Frontdoor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTDR) rose 13.3% to $46.56 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised tis FY25 sales guidance above estimates.
- Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE:PWR) gained 12.4% to $329.11 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance with its midpoint above estimates.
- ATI Inc. (NYSE:ATI) rose 12% to $60.87 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results and raised its FY25 adjusted EPS guidance.
- Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE:CARR) gained 10.4% to $69.07 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance.
- Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE:VRT) rose 9.7% to $93.67.
- Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) gained 9.6% to $433.29 following strong quarterly earnings.
