Insider Buyers At Bojun Education Likely Disappointed With 15% Slide
Share
Listen to the news

The recent 15% drop in Bojun Education Company Limited's (HKG:1758) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased CN¥51.0m worth of stock at an average buy price of CN¥0.17 over the past 12 months. Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth CN¥45.7m, which is not great.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Bojun Education Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Executive Director Hui Tang bought HK$14m worth of shares at a price of HK$0.17 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being HK$0.15). It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. Hui Tang was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.

Hui Tang bought 302.93m shares over the last 12 months at an average price of HK$0.17. You can see the insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year depicted in the chart below. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!
